Kill the Suds

With a number of older camp ground dump stations systems having problems during the Summer handling the volume of waist---I always love the answers which involve adding more non-beneficial chemicals to the system when the simple answer is use less soap.

I like the spray bottle method. Makes sense and saves a lot of soap.

x2. We also use dawn and don't get much suds at all and we live in an area with pretty soft water.

For example, I put a squirt of Dawn in a small spray bottle, fill with water and use that to do dishes for several days if not a week. I just spray the dishes, lightly scrub and rinse.

That is an awesome tip period wether it is for a TT or tent camping, I've never thought of that.

We use Dawn for dishwashing and don't have excess suds when dumping. We still use the plastic dishpans from our tenting days and they just fit in the sink. One for wash, one for rinse. We add a few drops of Dawn while running about 2 inches of hot water into the dishpan and get enough suds for dishwashing. By the time I am done washing dishes the suds are almost gone. I have a short clear piece on the dump connection and I never see excess suds.

As others said, use less Dawn and you should be ok.
