Ours popped off giving us our own personal geyser. I stuck it back in the hole and tighten it down.
Later I learned it was leaking under the sink. So, I took it apart and it appears that there were two "O" rings and a plastic ring that needed to be properly assembled on the goose neck as it is inserted into the facet base.
Properly assembled it did not leak. I did not have to remove the facet base.
However I did have to remove the drawers because I needed to mop up the leak. My drawers pull out, then the front of the drawer has to be lifted, so the upper wheel clears the lower wheel.
My top drawer is shorter but they both come out.
