Why a big box store, where you usually must have a membership? Also, you would be lucky to find one kitchen faucet in a big box store, let alone a selection. Why not Home Depot, Lowe's or some other store?

I believe most consider Home Depot, Lowe's, WalMart, etc., a Big Box Store.
I stand corrected. I learn something new very day.

How so? Big box stores are called big box stores because you can only buy things in big box quantities. Examples of big box stores are Costco, Sam's Club and BJ's.
Lowe's, Home Depot and Menard's are not big box stores.

We've replaced our kitchen faucet twice. The first time, DH contacted our coach manufacturer and they sent an off-brand replacement just like the one that broke. That didn't last but a couple years. So this last time he went to Lowe's and bought a Pfister with the life-long warranty. He had to buy some kind of new tool (but of course!) but I love it and it's working very well and not leaking.
We chose Pfister because one of our bathroom sink faucets failed and leaked water all over. We sent them a picture of it and they sent us a brand new replacement. Whoo hoo! We were impressed. No hoops to jump through!

Bruce - tenbearExplorerWhether you can repair the leak depends on the faucet and what is causing the leak. Repairing it will probably cost less than replacing it. If you like the faucet it is probably worth trying to repair it.
I replaced my kitchen faucet some time ago. Mine was mounted on the counter, not attached to the sink. I had to remove the sink to get at the faucet. You may need to adapt the existing plumbing to fit the new faucet. Make sure the new faucet has the same spacing as the old.
Not a difficult job but time consuming. - donn0128Explorer IIBig box store, find one you likeand install it. Generally a direft fit.
