Labor Day weekend

Have to work due to inventory on Tuesday but will head out on the sixth for a three day weekend in the Talladega National Forest. It will be hot also but campground will probably be empty so we'll have the perfect spot and an empty lake to ourselves. Have fun and be safe this weekend.

Wah. What a bunch of weenies. I Will be at Punderson State Park enjoying the water sports. I suppose you guys only camp when the sun shines also.

Holidays are too crowded at most places and traffic can be too stressful. Gave up camping on holidays a few years back. I realize that some folks use it as an extended weekend off from work and go camping as I used to, but since I don't work anymore, I go when I want to. Good luck with the heat.

We are heading out Wed. after Labor day. It will be cooler and the lake not as crowed.

Nope. We don't do Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day weekends anymore. Not worth the hassle. But, we'll be camping all through the rest of September. Best time to go. Weather is better, no kids around, lower traffic, don't usually need CG reservations, etc.

Have a good time though, sometimes you gotta take whatever time you can get off.

I don't travel on major holidays anymore, not worth the hassle of traffic to me.
