New Hogan??? Lot of memories.
When my sons were growing up, we have been into water sports.
That was year after we took 5 weeks in motorhome to zoom from California, to Montreal, to Baltimore and back.
The deal at New Hogan was that 1/2 mile away you could rent storage for $25 a month.
So we had boat and TT in the storage and zoomed there in SUV, carrying gas cans on hitch platform (gasoline at marina has extreme high price).
In about 45 minutes I had TT set at campfire (no hook-ups) and boat launched and sitting on the water close to TT.
So without taking designated vacations we spend over 40 days a season on the lake (it is good to be self-employed).
To top it, the buffet in near village was great place to stop before going home late Sunday afternoon.
What I am getting to is that each life-style calls for different toys.
I had several adventures with RV.
-mountain camping
-lake camping
-cross country trip
- living in it after house sale.
So each style ends with different RV and TC for retiree people still ready to play hard is the best choice... at least for u.
Side observation - New Hogan had a lot of water skiers although me and my friend on the rope, while our wife with children did the boat duty did trigger some attention.
This summer we spend 2 weeks and huge lake in Georgia.
No water skier at all and after 10 days we spot somebody making poor attempts in knee-boarding.
