The OP should be able to take the truck/TC combo out for a test drive and see if he has second thoughts BEFORE signing on the dotted line.
Just IMHO and after owning 4 TCs.
Within this thread, you will find the OP has already taken delivery of a Truck Camper, as well as already owning the Truck. Also, numerous owners of 1191 owners have posted here that they have weighed their campers, before loading personal items and fluids, and none of them were even close to the 3800# in your comment. I'm one of them. The OP recognizes the limitations of their truck and are taking steps to bring up it's capabilities. I for one am interested in the upgrades and the experiences the OP will have with these improvements. The die is cast and they are doing the work to make things safe, with what they have. Thus the interest of this thread.
