I would check and make sure your tent is going inside completely. To get mine entirely inside the camper, I turn on the vent over the bed on high, close all windows and the door. It the sucks the tent into the camper and is very easy to get tucked in.
Not had any problem with it not closing securely doing that. There is not an adjustment that I know of.
