I haven’t posted in a while, between the holidays and finding a replacement for the DW car after I hit a deer, I’ve been a little busy. I did manage to get a shelter built before the holidays.

I don’t have a shop or any place to get it in out of the weather so I built me one.

I was able to get back to the project last week after New Year’s. First I removed the roof. Surprisingly there wasn’t as much rot up there as I originally thought. There was some around the refrigerator vent

and the roof vent.

There is also some rot at the rear around where the ladder mounted and a hole in the roof from a bolt on the underside of the a/c unit.

Then it was on to the curb side. The first thing I found was the usual rot in the wing along with a bees nest.

Then rot around the propane compartment where the front hook is

and in the cab over

also found missing insulation

got the underside of the cab over uncovered and found rot

And more missing insulation

On to the left side where I found the wing rot

Cab over rot

And around the water heater/ battery area

Next I pulled the rear siding off and found the main rot.

I did discover that Lance wanted to make sure that any remodel would be difficult by attaching all the cabinets and interior walls from the outside it.

After I removed the plywood from the rear most part off the roof I found that part is well insulated

The pictures are not the best because most are taken at night and it is tight quarters in the pole barn
