Is the vanity a fiberglass one piece unit or wood? Most of us aren't familiar with a 30 year old lance layout. Post some pictures, someone may have had a similar issue.
On my current TC I would have to remove the bottom to get to some of the plumbing. The bottom is 2 sheets of plywood screwed on so it isn't too hard. One drain pipe runs under the bath floor so I would have to remove the LP tank storage compartment to get to it.
