Lance sewer hose

My Lance camper has a fitted compartment on the side for the sewer hose that is about 16' deep. When I got the camper, this hose was missing. I need to find a sewer hose that, when compressed, will fit the compartment.

The smallest hose I can find is 24' compressed. I called Lance directly and they don't have them and couldn't offer a solution. Weird.

Anybody know where I can find a hose that is around 16' compressed or is there a way to make one? Anyone else encountered this problem?

The hose I have now works fine but I'm forced to store it in the rear compartment and it takes up a ton of space. And we all know storage space on a camper is at a premium!

Any suggestions are welcome!

  • I used Pres-to=fit end fittings that made it simple to slide the larger connectors onto the small one that would fit in the hose holder.

Use a hair dryer to heat and expand the vinyl. That will then fit around the old fitting , finish it off using a plumbers strap or whatever was on there.
  • No idea what you are looking at with your Lance...

When I got mine I tried to put in a sewer hose. Seemed kind of tight, but I got it in. A few trips later I realized there already a hose in the storage area! Again, don't know what you are up against, but I would take a flashlight to it and double check.

    YMMV!

  • Rhino hose ends will unscrew (guess what happens when you didn't know that?) Unscrew an end, cut off what doesn't fit and put the end back on.

That's going to leave you with a short hose. I know you don't have much room, but you might consider taking a second hose (with the correct coupler) so you can reach the hookups in some RV parks.

  • Take a look at walmart... their sewer hoses are packed in that compressed length...

You don't need the extra heavy hoses that many of the permant residents of trailer parks prefer.

  • you should be able to cut enough off a stinky slinky to make it fit compressed.

  • lookatdirt, Are you saying that this compartment is 16 feet or 16 inches? My sewer hose compresses to about 3 feet but extends to 20 feet.
