Lancer?

We are contemplating purchasing a 1972 18' travel trailer to restore for our family's use. It say "Lancer" is the brand, but when I google Lancer I cannot find any information- is it possible Lancer is the model- and if so would anyone know what brand this would be? I would love to locate information/manuals online for it.

  • Most manuals that came with travel trailers back in the day were sales brochures and fairly generic. You may be able to find printed appliance manuals but those are typically available online.

You can look in the restoration thread in my signature line, "the Cowboy/Hilton" to see how I restored a '72 Starcraft. Typically, restoration of anything in that age range involves a lot of work as owners typically lose interest in upkeep and the consequent water intrusion will mean framing repair.

It definitely says "Lancer" on the rear hatch. I have yet to find any other identifying marks. Should have it home soon so I'll keep looking.

    Thanks for the replies!
  • I'm wondering that also. Lance Camper started as M&M Trailer Supply in 1965, in CA.
