Larger fuel tank for GM SB Extended cab

The one listed stops at 2010.. I cannot imagine that they stopped making them in 2010..?? Drop them a line , great people to chat with.

I bought a 57 gallon Titan replacement tank for mine about a year and a half ago. Installed it myself.

I have been wondering the same thing. My 2007.5 needs something, I have been considering a small transfer tank but haven't ruled out a replacement tank. The transfer tank is much cheaper though. Hey Jtrac, have you noticed any problems with the fuel gauge working correctly or any check engine lights? I have heard there are some problems with replacing the existing tank. I think I saw it on one of the Duramax forums.

I have had a 52 gallon Titan tank on my 2006 2500HD since early 2007. The gauges work perfectly except the "miles remaining" gauge. Since the computer is programmed to think the fuel tank contains 26 gallons, it will read 1/2 the correct amount after the tank switch. That isn't a problem because I can easily, even in my old brain, multiply the miles shown by 2.

There has never been a problem with this tank or any of the gauges. I would buy it again in a second.

My truck as configured has a payload capacity of 4500 lbs and a fuel tank with an additional 20 gallons of diesel adds only 140 lbs. which is nothing to worry about. Running out of fuel with a diesel, now that is something that I do worry about.

I don't trust in luck but in doing the math and making the necessary modifications and no relying 100% on a stock truck as it is ordered by a dealer from the factory. Now that would be relying on dumb luck.

Titan does not make a tank for the 2011 GM SB Extended cab trucks. I phoned and spoke with their tech support person to confirm this after not finding them for sale anywhere.

Did you check with TransferFlow?

The OP is making a statement not posing a question.

I saw the statement........all I was saying that Transfer Flow might already have a tank in production.....if somebody needs one without waiting.

Maybe he is running Rickson 19.5 rims and tires that size. How else is he not overloading the rear tires? Chris
