We installed ours directly under awning. Reinforced with clear gorilla tape-the adhesive that was on the lights would never have held the lights up while traveling. We had purchased an 18 ft extenson wire that we ran down the trailer next to awning arm using a cord keeper type tube then plugged the lights in inside refigerator compartment. We hung electric eye out of campartment through vents. Worked great. Looks really neat and clean.Didn't have to drill any holes.
