LED replacement bulbs

Does anyone know how to compare incandescent to LED bulbs for Lumens or just general brightness? I currently have the wedge style bulbs in my Trailer and was looking on Ebay and Amazon to get an idea of options. There seems to be a wide range in LED bulb styles/shapes and LED count. I was thinking on going big and doing the 42 LED warm white but I am curious how they would compare in brightness to the existing incandescent.

  • When we did our LED conversion 3 years ago I used an Ebay store that was recommended by members here on the forum as there are many posts with great info on this subject. All the LEDs we purchased were in the 3K spectrum that gave nearly the same warm light produced by the incandescents they replaced and were brighter to boot. No failures to report thus far, purchased a few from US stores where prices were several times higher only to find that these were also made in China. One of my favorite mods as we prefer to camp off the grid.

I purchased LEDs for the entire TT from M4 Products and do not regret it.
