I'm not sure what could be done for factory LED strips, but my aftermarket ones have a 44 key controller. It has a dimmer built in. Also the ability to change to make different colors. While that dosen't seem like a necessity, it comes in really hand. LED "white" light is very harsh usually, very blue tinted. I can change the LED strip to yellow, and it becomes much easier on the eyes. At night when all I want is the glow of the fire, I switch to red and dim it way down. It bathes the area under the awning in a dim red, which dosen't not distract or catch your eye, it almost just blends in with the fire glow while still letting you see what you need to. At night when I go to bed I change it to a dim amber color (much light most rv curbside lights) and it lights the area up juuuuuust enough for me to see if I need to go outside or to check when I hear a racoon trying to get into something.
Here's a YouTube video I made.

Great review video!!! Where did you order that set up? I would like the same set up. Do they offer various lengths? Thx
