We really looked hard at both. Our situation is that we are a little older , do not travel with children,too many steps are too hard on us and we always have our 2 dogs with us.
I thought a 5er would be the only towable RV that would fit our part time (100 nights per year) needs. When we looked at the new TT offering we found our triple slide, rear LR full stand up shower TT. This fits our needs to a tee. I have enough truck to pull the full load with hundreds of pounds to spare.
A flat living area with just 3 steps to the ground helps us especially in the night when the pups need to go out. a clearly defined bedroom and bath area, Kitchen, and a 14' wide living room is perfect for us.
So for us the TT has the advantage for our situation.
