I carry two 4x4x10, two 6x8x10, four 2x6x18 (two per wheel), and a set of eight 12x12 plastic blocks. You may think it is extreme, but I can put a set of wheels up over 16" and have needed to do so in the past. Plus, with the ability to take such an unlevel site, I have more option and campgrounds to choose from. Some of the campgrounds I visit were built by the CCC and only designed for tent campers so no concern on making the parking area level.
Another use for the blocks and planks is I can use them to bridge up to a 34" wide washout over 20" deep. Haven't done it yet, but came very close to needing to in Kentucky.
