Leveling truck camper question

I level the truck. Sometimes use the big orange legos. When we went to Alaska, I left the jacks at home, along with any other additional weight I could live without.

That's good cause the idea is to be able to drive in the right dip or hump and see it go level from the drivers seat.

That precisely what PO did on my camper. Not on the door, but next to it and 2nd on the side.
Camping World sells special gauges for it.

Are you talking about truck off-road panel showing the level?
I found that and phone leveler kind of low accuracy, not to mention that truck sensor read the frame level.
Even with my camper putting 6500lb on rear axle, my camper still tilts forward comparing to truck frame, meaning even on perfectly flat pad, I have to block front wheels about 3".
That 2017 F350 dually with factory set.

I like spots that are a bit low where the front of the truck will sit. That way I can then run the front wheels up on my homemade 2x6 stepped ramps, this puts the rear of the unit closer to the ground. The same when it sits in my downward sloping drive, the rear bumper is only a comfortable step up from the ground that way.

I use my iPhone app with a 360 degree bubble and when I'm parking I get as level as possible for the spot I'm in. After that I use my Lego blocks to get it just right. Ever so slightly left and front down so that the shower drains perfectly. The only time we've ever used the jacks while camping was to stabilize the truck one evening in the desert when the wind was gusting to some insane speed.

When camper off truck place a level in the bed of the truck. This will help you for front to back leveling only so find a spot in a parking lot or on your property that is level. When the truck bed is level, silicone a level gauge to the driver side door of the truck. That way you can tell an exact spot to stop in a campground site when pulling in. The silicone is easy to remove off plastic door side panel later when you decide to trade in the truck.

You might be able to do the same for side to side level, but frame flexes so not sure. I usually can tell if side to side is close enough.

Yeah next time I run to town and grab some of those lego blocks and get it nice and level that way

15"!? Wow! And where do you store all that stuff??

Except for the lego blocks, all the wood is stored in a single box that is 16"L x 13"w x 11" tall. The box easily sits behind the driver's seat in the back seat on the fold flat floor of the Ram. The lego blocks fit under the box below the fold flat floor.

Also in the back seat are two chairs, gas grill, case or two of water, quick fold table, table cloth, and water hose. If we want or need to carry other people, it can all be easily moved to the camper, but does make it harder to get around.
