Leveling your TT

While on vacation with our new to us TT, I notice the gray and black water tank fill levels of our wall gauges was affected by the side to side leveling.

If the driver side of the TT is only slightly lower, the gauges shows 1/3 full, even after the tanks have been emptied.

While checking for level, I noticed the floor, the table and the slide all showed different amounts of out of level.

So, the question is, where do you measure for level on you trailer?
  • I level my fridge and don't worry about the rest.

I have a 12" level, with a magnetic strip built in. When not in use it stores on my range hood.
  • I start out with a level in the freezer than when the TT is level I stick the stick on level on the each side near the front and one on each side in the front of the TT
  • I do it off the tongue with a round bubble level. I like my trailer a tad nose high, since the queen bed is up front and it also keeps any rain that falls at night drip off the back instead of next to my head... :)

I can see how side to side level would effect the tank gauges, since they are usually on the side of the tanks...

So far with over 11 years of camping with the same trailer, my tongue leveling as served me well... :)
