I thought it was odd that my Keystone Outback TT has the license place on the passenger side.

And all my previous camper has the license plate on the driver side:

On the second photo (our Springdale), one of the plastic tabs broke and I ended up having to replace the entire light with a new one. I couldn't find a better way to fix it. I did get the light from my local RV dealership parts, an exact replacement. It held up fine for years after that, but I'm still leary to this day about those plastic tabs that hang the license plate.
One thing to remember, if you move the license plate to the other side, it has to be lighted at night. Not a big issue if you get a replacement tail light and license holder together. Still, something you cannot ignore either.
