Why bother or did you never register your TC in WA to escape the sales tax?

DITTO on the above
I leave it on the truck, it stays hidden. Been like that for 11.87364 years.- spectaExplorer

Following advice on this topic I ordered a replica licence plate from Amazon. It arrived today and is excellent. It is an exact copy of a British Columbia plate, with my number added, it is very well made and cost less than $20 including postage.
Here in Utah that's a forgery and is illegal.
Don't know about Canada. - jimh406Explorer IIISeems like the general guidance is “not” to copy a plate. YMMV.

- JimK-NYExplorer IIThe plate obviously needs to be visible. My TC is 9.5' and the plate would not be visible under the camper on the truck bumper location. My TC has a bracket and a light to illuminate the license plate.
- stevenalNomad III admit that I haven't checked the statutes of all the states and provinces. The handful I've checked all require plates to be attached to the vehicle. Can anyone link me to a law that states plates can be attached to the cargo instead?
The rear plate on my truck is illuminated when the headlights are on. Do those attaching plates to a load of lumber likewise attach lights? - jimh406Explorer III

I do that; switch the truck plate to the camper and back as needed.

Fwiw, MT doesn’t require TC plates or register TCs. Department of Licensing said leave the plates on the truck. That’s why you have a front plate. - mbloofExplorer

Now there's a good idea!
(I can't seem to ever remember my plate ether!)
