I owned a FWC Grandby for over twenty years, bought it new in 1983. They are all framed aluminum construction and built like a tank to survive four wheel drive conditions. I loved mine and just replaced it with another one.
My new FWC Hawk, with most options, weighs 1300 lbs dry. Another plus for FWC is their resale value....I sold my 23 year old Grandby for more than I paid for it. Your in Colorado, go to the Sportsman Expo in Denver this weekend. Phoenix, FWC and NS are there with show pricing. FWC has a nice Grandby on display.
This really isn't the best forum if your interested in pop up backcountry type campers.
I think I'm the only one here with a FWC.
