So you have had trouble, and in 9 years I have not, my sons have not and almost everyone I know that have them have not and my dealers service center sees very few in for that repair…
The facts are the manufactures are using more and more of them at a higher unit cost, and we all know how bottom line conscious this industry is…
If the claim were true it would be a major safety issue and deserving of a recall… but there are no recalls and no complaints to the NHTSA about this being a problem after all these years…
Almost all of the post I have read are from people that prefer to hand grease them and always have because they pull the drum to inspect the brakes anyway as they should, not because they had failures…
The only way for the grease to get to the brake area is if the seal is defective or the grease was applied with to much pressure, unlike the Bearing Buddy the Easy Lube axle isn’t pressurized
