As long as your truck's receiver is rated to handle the tongue weight you shouldn't need the weight distribution part since your TV is plenty stout for that size TT. My truck can handle our TT without our WD/SC hitch but I wouldn't want to tow without it for the sway control properties the hitch provides.
We tow at the speed limit (+/-5mph) and the interstates out west where we do most of our RVing the wind can blow pretty hard, having the sway control I can ride strong and steady even when passing commercial diesel trucks.
I have seen plenty of 3500s towing large TTs and I recall most were using WD/SC hitches. Give it a whirl at highways speeds with & without WD installed and see what you prefer. Enjoy the power and added capacity of your 3500!!!
