I'm curious as to why you remove the propane tank, propane fire pit, and propane fryer? I would just leave them in the RV. I also don't take more food then I can eat. Wherever I go there is a grocery store close enough nearby to get items I want.

I'm just a weekend camper and I often take just enough perishable food for the first night. Then I purchase the rest the next day.

If you are buying bins to move stuff back and forth, make sure you know how big your door openings are. The biggest bins available may not fit through a camper door without being turned on the side. Don't ask me how I know....

I leave everything inside. Why take it out???? I do remove it in the winter to keep it from freezing. I keep all the canned food in a small tote to make this easier.

I bought separate items for our trailer that I store in snap & lock bins and keep them stored in our trailer, the only thing I will remove is the excess food (if not in a can) and our clothes (made a removable hamper that we just take with us when we're done).

The items I store on the TT I bought off craigslist or ebay or amazon, so really no clearing out the trailer for us.

Wow, lots of work for some of you. To the OP, what exactly are you bringing in? When we get home we park and plug in. At some point we grab the laundry basket and wash the clothes and towels which get returned to the trailer when done. We bring in the meds and the iPads. We grab food during the week if we need something. When we shop, we bring the food for the trailer right out in the bags it comes home from and we are ready to go. Trailer never sites long as we camp 3 of 4 weekends some of which are 3 day weekends. End of Oct we empty food, toiletries and paper goods.

I have some rolling shelving units that I'm supposed to empty one and use to shuttle our gear. Until then...

Mostly use 2-3 laundry baskets. Our toiletries and pantry items need to come in because of the desert heat in-between trips. Some of that stuff has just been migrated from garage storage to in-home locations for the same reason.

Our laundry and used water bottles each have collapsible hampers that are kept in the shower mid-trip.
