Location of fresh water tank 2011 Lance 1050S

I have a vague idea of where it is, but before I tear anything else apart, does anyone know the location of the fresh water tank. My tank monitor quit ages ago and I am trying to find the wires to install a See Level system.

Please no replies telling me to just judge how long a tank lasts.

Thanks in advance for your help.
  • I am not sure on yours, but if it is like my older Lance it is under the step-up to the overhead bed.
  • IF you have a vague idea of where the freshwater holding tank is, where do you think it is ?
Isn't it under the step ?

The 1050s shows the water fill door on the outside drivers side Towards the front of the camper.
The water tanks are never too far from that fill door and vent .
Seeing your floorplan, I would think the tank is under that step to the cabover.
You should not have to tear things apart . The lid unscrews if you pick thru the carpet covering the step .
Remove a few screws and see if the tank is there. I do not think there is any other place it could be in that floorplan. They are usually installed in a place where they are kept warm by interior cabin heat.

Good luck with your project, Bob
  • Thanks for suggestions. Batteries are under the step. Owner's manual diagram is typical setup but doesn't match mine.

Following the fill tube, which goes from outside, across the galley sink cabinet and then goes down by the water pump, the tank is apparently under the sink and behind the propane tanks. Doesn't appear to be any easy access to it. Will save the hunt for another day! Too many accessories to install on the new truck today. :)
  • With the newer basement model, I would have already guessed it isn't under the step. Too short to have much of a tank. Usually they are now located in the basement but would be unsure how to gain access.

Lance has always been responsive to customers when asking about build details. Recommend you just give them a call and ask. Bet they will tell you where it is and how best to access the tank. While you have them on the phone, would also ask about wiring and framing details. Have your serial number handy in case they ask for it.
  • chalet05, interesting . Tnx for the update. That certainly does make it more difficult and is info that i'll keep. The 1050s might be in my future.

    Ditto on Kohldads suggestion.
I would call Lance with your vin# and they will pull up the build on your unit. They will tell you exactly how to do it .
I have seen difficult tanks being removed and they had to remove the bottom of the camper. It wasn't too difficult, it was basically screws and a panel. Obviously the camper has to be off the truck.

Again , good luck with the project , Bob
  • I have a 2011 1050s. Look under your step up to the overhang and then under the batteries.

It is not visible, but the fill hose and line to the pump can be seen disappearing underneath the floor level.

Access will be from the very bottom of the camper.
