Long bed camper in a 6' truck bed ?

It depends if the camper model as recommended by the mfgr can be used on a short bed. Northstar have many models that can be used on an 8 or foot bed. Does Lance consider the 1030 valid for a short bed truck?

If they do not, then heed their design recommendations

If it is only for a few uses, can you put the camper on a trailer and get the short bed? I know it sorta' defeats the advantage of a TC, but it might be a way to eat the cake too.
