Long Box Pick up trucks.

A long bed in 1983 is nothing like the new crew cab long bed of today, that is why after four or five long beds we now that a CC SB RAM. Chris

Me Again, what is the wheel base on your truck? Mine is 160.5 and a cc long bed is at 169.0 the last time I checked. WOW a whole 9" or less. Your right about the '83, my brother has an '85 cc long bed and it is a little shorter than my '04 QC LB.

Pretend trucks? Hahaha! I have a feeling you would have a hard time in a real truck. You just have to be smarter than the plywood to drive a truck with less than an 8 foot bed. Lol, what do you do when you need to haul 10' lumber.

I dunno, both the wife and I can park the Mega cab easier than the Charger in most spots. Unless they're real narrow. With a truck it's just too easy with good mirrors, to back right into a spot that would require a 3 pt turn even in the car.

Of course, it's still a bit shorter than a CCLB truck. They can get unwieldy in the city, but not in the frozen Tundra!

I have a CC LB truck and MOST of the time I don't have any trouble parking it. I usually end up a little further out in the parking lot. Less door dings that way.

Well I stopped by a local dealer a couple months ago, test drove a 2017 crew cab Long Ram 3500 SRW Tradesmen. Went on a nice ride, feeling out an Asin auto, compared to my 5 speed manual. Reason for tradesmen was to see what a base level truck was like.
Well at dealer lot they were packed pretty tight. Not an issue to get out just close quarters. When we returned we pulled past the spot an I started to back into the spot we had been in. The salesman quickly offered to get out and “spot me”, I simply told him to sit back so I can see the right mirror, and proceeded to slide right back into the spot.
Most people over think the size of their trucks. I daily drive my current 2001 Ram Quad Cab Long bed, to me it is no more trouble to park than DW’s Equinox. I never find it necessary to take more one parking space, I might hang a foot or so into the spot behind me, but still enough space for a small car.
I would say 99% of issues with size many have is just not enough seat time driving your TV.
