Long Box Pick up trucks.

My F350 crew cab long bed is longer than almost all spaces in most all parking lots. Especially so if I have my hitch installed. I don’t want the rear (or front) extending out in the aisle for someone driving thru without paying attention and hit me. So I either find two spaces end to end where I can pull thru leaving the rear overlapping the space behind. Or find a space along a curb I can back into with the long rear hanging over the curb and getting the front end out of the aisle. Both almost always mean parking a little farther out on the lot.

Reminds me of the Explorer Sport Trac with it's 4 doors and tiny box in the back.. About enough room for a couple bags of groceries and a 12 pack of brew.. Was probably overloaded with that cargo.

That fizzled out pretty quick.

The 8 foot box will be around as long as pickups are work trucks. Contractors, Farmers (me) and tradesmen don't want a short box in the first place.

My truck, when it's not toting my TC, is hauling stuff like a diesel fuel tank or hay or feed bags and usually all together.

I would never buy a truck that I could not haul a 4x8 sheet of plywood in flat down.

The current trend of having a huge occupant cabin (4 doors) and a tiny box in my opinion, looks strange anyway. Looks like the old Sport Trac Explorer, kind of squished together like a bug.

Quad Cab Longbed.

Park it in same parking spots as cars etc.

A long bed in 1983 is nothing like the new crew cab long bed of today, that is why after four or five long beds we now that a CC SB RAM. Chris

In the back of the lot where there's less cars, and if it's not a pull through spot, back in it. And this is also why we have 3 vehicles for 2 people, the truck is hard to take many places.

Keep in mind that you will need to be able to get out.
Cars could park close all around you.
Make sure you have an exit plan.

Been driving a long bed since 1983, very few parking problems. Certainly wouldn't buy a short bed.

Have a long bed, crew cab.... I just pull in and take up two spaces. Then I can pull straight out. I park way out and just walk to door. Exercise good.
I have to watch turning on the road to go park tho... those curbs got me several times. Now I am fine.
