Sounds like it would work, and with the current new trucks hitting lots you may be able to get a 2015-2016 cheaper. Just keep in mind that you may be able to find a gas 3/4 ton for around the same price or similar. It depends also how long you plan to keep your current trailer. Because if you were going to get a much bigger camper within just a few years then I would go 3/4 ton, if not the 1/2 ton should have zero issues. Nothing wrong with a good 1/2 ton and a trailer within its tow ratings. So there are a lot of variables to go over prior purchase just due to future plans. Only u know that answer, but currently the new 1/2 ton will be a great upgrade for you. Plus there are so many to choose from. Shop all the ones you like because there are a lot of good models available out there now.
