How so? The F150 Ecoboost with it's high payloads will move and stop that load fine. It will do that faster than nearly all its 1/2 ton competitors. Only with the 8 speeds are Ram and GM finally gaining.
And I've had 2k in the bed of my 1850 payload F150. Handled it fine. I tow our 35', 8k dry trailer with it. It does fine.
I'd not say they are boosting the #'s at all. It is a capable vehicle.
