Looking for a So Cal Thanksgiving uncrowned camp spot

There is plenty of desert to wander around in, or you can go to the mountains. Most people in So Cal do not like the cold so it can be quiet. Many camprgrounds are closed by now. Use the internet to find out about specific campgrounds. I really like the desert in winter, especially outside of parks where there are fewer rules and fewer people.
