- MN_BenExplorerI don't know if the OP has been back for his answeres. I sure hope he comes back for advice and see what a great site this is. And to let us know what he decided for a camper.
- campingkenExplorerSince you live in CA take a look at Panther Campers. They are made in Vancouver WA. The advertised weight of the Sportsman Sp-84 is 860 pounds. They show one mounted on a Nissan on their website.

What is the payload ?
About 1400 lbs on an "Access Cab" Tacoma. I think a bit less on the OP's double cab. There are only a few options I know of, and they've already been mentioned. Maybe Phoenix also.
FYI we use a Restop Commode, which is probably not as nice as a cassette toilet (I've never used one), but you just throw the bags away. Plus it's waterproof/sealable so it works for some river restrictions. - dadwolf2ExplorerXP Camper V2 is a hardside pop-up built for a Tacoma. Saw it at the Expo. Pretty impressive and actually I thought the price was competitive since it comes standard with every option you need. FWC starts out with a nice looking base model price and goes up quickly when you start adding the options you want. They are made in Grass Valley, CA.
- Maybe a FlipPac? Here's another link with more photos: the other link
- MN_BenExplorerAre you looking to buy new or used? Or I should add old as in 80's model. I sold mine for $1800. Fridge, stove, heater, battery, converter, sink with hand pump, 3jacks, great shape. Found it on CL and sold it on CL.
- Just_JeffExplorerYou can get a small cassette toilet that will store about anywhere. Just have to kick everybody out of the TC while someone uses it. Or you could get a separate tent to set it up outside for longer stays.
