Thanks, I'll see what's available near me. Maybe find some dealerships with a used one or two that I can kick tires on, as to not bother a private party if I' just looking to examine build quality.

Because every time that slide moves in and out that plumbing (LPG, water and drains) is moving with it too. The trailers I looked at with appliances on slides had all those lines in a cheap plastic raceway with cheap zip ties holding those lines right above the tires. One piece of debris, one blow-out and I'm looking at more than just changing a tire. In short, one less thing to go wrong if the only thing on a slide is a couch, dinette, and/or bed.
