Wow, the dealers in my area have the lowest inventory I have ever seen, and I'm a retired car hauler. I know there is a problem with chips, but right now each dealer may have only 1 or 2 3/4 ton or 1...

Right. Things were shut down completely for three months, then retooled to produce ventilators (Whatever happened to those ventilators by the way? The news was, "Help is on the way! Lookit our heroes making ventilators!" Then, nothing.). When they could start back in on making vehicles they had to switch production back, tool up for new models, etc.. On top of that all the suppliers were shut down for three months, and their suppliers were shut down for three months, and their suppliers were shut down for three months... right on down the supply chain.
Things might be getting back to normal by this time next year. Just need to be patient.
