- JJBIRISHExplorerI was not aware of what brand the op is looking for, I didn’t know that was established…
I also lost the damper from a Ventline brand… - bfourmanExplorer

I cut a very stiff screen to fit in its place. I found its better this way as the DW never turned the fan on as she said it was noisy. I like fresh air anyway as this lets in some
Same here. I haven't noticed any water intrusion from towing in the rain either. - facoryExplorerThe part that he was looking for is made by Heng Mfg., Ventline is not a replacement. Even the cutout is a different size. Which is best? Flip a coin. Ventline is probably easier to find retail.
- JJBIRISHExplorerA new complete Ventline cost under $7

Ours went. My dealer only had the whole assembly for like $10 to $15 (can't remember exactly) I thought I'd just bend and insert the flapper rather than take off the whole housing and reinstall the new. Well, one of the tabs broke while I was trying to put it in, and I was trying very gingerly to insert it. - dadmomhExplorerIt's sorta SOP for campers. The replacement for our '07 ROO was $35 incl shipping. Our new TT has a totally different type, so maybe.......but that's still part of our "close up and get ready to leave" procedures. Not in the mood to invest again.
- Ray552ExplorerI also forgot one time and now have a screen in place. Seems to work and I do not have to remember to Close it.
- facoryExplorerHere is where you can find the replacement vent. I always carry a spare in case we forget to fasten the flapper before traveling.

The flapper shown in Gene&Ginny's post is what everyone is speaking of. Over the years and all three of our TT's, I have replaced seven or eight of these flappers. On occasion we forgot to fasten them down, and some disappeared with the locks still in the lock position. Last year we made it to the next CG and when I went to release the locks on the flap, it just fell to the ground. I came up with a fix to correct the manufacturers mistake. I took the flapper, trimmed the top rib off, cut an aluminum coat hanger just as long as the original pins and flapper were. I used Loctite STIK'N SEAL Outdoor Adhesive and glued the wire permanently on the flapper. Once the adhesive was completly cured, I bowed it just enough to slide it into the housing. We have made numerous trips with it since, and I still have the same flapper. The plastic of their flapper pins are just flimsy.
I used aluminum as eventually steel might have caused problems with rust.
Well, just experienced this problem with this product/manufacturer and used this repair mod last night with a slight twist. Used gorilla glue and aluminum foil tape. So far so good - THANKS for the idea. Funny thing is, we had same vent flapper on previous TT for 9 years, never had a problem. Have had the 5'r for 15 months, it broke last week. Go figure???? - mailmanExplorerThe flapper shown in Gene&Ginny's post is what everyone is speaking of. Over the years and all three of our TT's, I have replaced seven or eight of these flappers.
