As said, this is not a new practice. One rental outfit I dealt with sold all his trucks to the same used car dealer in AZ. Dealer would throw a cheap lift, wheels and a good detail job on them and sell em as bro mobiles all day long! Low mile used trucks fetch a premium from those who aren't aware and don't check engine hours.
Some of hem could be a good deal but you have to wade through the beat up ones to find a gem.
On the upside, maintenance is usually good. But you can end up with a 70kmi cream puff with 15000 engine hours!
Proceed with caution and know that whoever is selling it bought it for pennies on the dollar.
