Diesel people are easy to fool. Once you buy one it keep going up and up and up.
I have seen gas as low as 2.79 a gal but diesel is still at 3.79 around here. Why hasn't the diesel price gone down? - bigdoggerExplorer IIMy guess is the forecast will be as accurate as those forecasts from the last three or four winters that trumpeted $5.00 or $6.00 per gallon gas by the coming July. I always plan on paying exactly what they are charging when I pull up to the pump. Anything else is wishful thinking.

So why don't you buy oil futures and get your easy 15% or more?
I worked at BP for some years and during the winter diesel prices tend to go up as there is only so much, diesel/heating oil, (the same thing minus additives), and gas which is lighter goes down during that time. One thing to remember is that gas/diesel prices are added to by Wall Street speculators which can add 15% or more to the cost of a gallon of gas or diesel. - Filled up the truck Monday afternoon at $2.99/gal. Went by the gas station Tuesday morning (0530) and the price jumped to $3.09/gal.

Fuel is just noise compared to the overall cost of RVing
It's not the cost of RVing that is the problem. We can absorb a few more dollars for our vacation.
It's the overall cost of skyrocketing commute prices. Where you once would spend 100 dollars a month on gas to get to work, and shop. Now. You spend 100 dollars a week, A 400% increase. that is where the problem is. That is what is hurting so many people, and keeping the economy down.
Ah thanks for the reminder, retirees have only non commuting fuel costs.I only work driving school bus and its parked at home .But how much is it really compared to the '80s adjusted for inflation? - camperforlifeExplorerWe generally have some of the highest prices round outside of CA. What gripes me is all the local stations jump 15-25 cents every Thursday when people get paid and then come back down on Monday. I just shake my head at all the people that pay the weekend prices. Since I drive out of town quite a bit, I almost always can get gas for much less than locally.
Northwest of me is Anderson Indiana and Gas Buddy says they have the most volatile gas prices in the country, we are a pretty close runner up. - CWSWineExplorerI have seen gas as low as 2.79 a gal but diesel is still at 3.79 around here. Why hasn't the diesel price gone down?

Just make more money, you can't worry about little things like gas price.
