- jimh406Explorer IIIIt looks like this thread is explaining why there is more than one configuration. :)
- wildtoadExplorer IIAbsolutely would dump the stove top and oven for a convection microwave. I have owned 4 motor homes and have yet to use the oven, and can't remember the last time we used to stove top. Never in the current mh. More counter space more storage would be and easy trade.
- billtexExplorer IIWe have no use for a micro-wave.
We rarely have hookups and would rather not carry a genny too often (except ski camping)...
It really depends on how you will camp...if you don't go where there is electricity...the micro doesn't do much good.
We use ours for storage.
B - narcodogExplorer IINo way, I cook and stay at CG's very seldom. Even with a genset that would not be the way I would go. gensets give to much trouble to rely on electric appliance.
- jimh406Explorer IIII have propane stove top and a convection oven that is also a microwave. Since we don't bake much, and the microwave is good for other things, I think it is a good tradeoff. I'm not crazy about lp ovens. They seem to be very inconsistent in RVs when I've had them.
- Buzzcut1Nomad IIOh heck no. I cook way too many meals that require multiple items cooking at the same time on the burners. I rarely use the microwave for anything other than fast cooking a potato. And in many National parks where there are no hookups and very restricted generator use hours you would be out of luck for a hot meal without a propane range or oven if you mistimed your hike.
- K_CharlesExplorerDoes the convection oven have a grill, fry or broil button? If not the answer is no.
