It has started to dawn on me that when manufacturers say a camper is 'made for 1/2 tons' what they mean is that it will physically fit in the truck bed....not that it will be within your payload capac...

I saw on one dealer's FB page a pic of a camper on a 150 touting that the camper was a 'perfect match' for the couple's truck. I was familiar with that camper and when I pointed out that the dry weight of the camper in question was 800+ pounds over the the payload rating for the truck....they blocked me from their FB page :-)
