Tony, your conclusion is right on. There are very few truck campers that "fit" a half ton truck.
FYI --- Don't be fooled by the new 2015 F-150's. Yes, Ford took 600-700 pounds out of the truck with aluminum parts, but, Ford also reduced the GVW by 300-400 pounds, increasing load capacity by only 300-400 pounds. This suggests that Ford cheapened or weakened other critical parts. I haven't done the homework and can't tell you what the down graded components might be.
Bottom line, you can't just buy a new F-150 and slap a big camper on it either.
