Any response is going to get bashed. All I can suggest to you is to do just a little research and see what information YOU find. From my research, only 2 manufacturers used the fuel pump that had a much higher rate of failure. From those 2 manufacturers that used that point, one manufacturer accepted responsibility and fixed under warranty, while the other blamed poor quality fuel and shifted responsibility to the user.
For what its worth, I haven't heard of any issues with the most recent changes to the fuel pump.
