Would like to see the Mammoth with recliners like they did in the Cascade but that's not in the cards per Randall at this time. So they've got their offering for recliners and they have no future plans for any Mammoth redesign.
IMO the rear seating is unacceptable to relax in. It's not a recliner, not wide enough and generally in a poor location (right next to the door).
Trying to pull the dinette and turn it into a recliner area is a non-starter since the black tank and heater are underneath it. One approach could be to remove the heater and go with a buddy heater. Remove the black tank and change the toilet to a compost or cassette type. Unfortunately cassette toilets stink to high heaven when dumping and compost ones don't perform well in humid environments.
I've looked at the Cascade but seems to come up short on interior storage.
Leaning toward the Eagle Cap 1165 but not a fan of the Schwintek slide and what I've heard that product has gear alignment issues. Looks like in the EC 1165 you can actually put double recliners in there if you wanted (rear and side).
:( Wanted the features of the 1165/Cascade in a Mammoth model size. Guess that's too much to ask :/
We ordered ours without any furniture in the back slide. The slide will be built with extra deep floor as if we ordered the washer/dryer option. A wall hugger lazyboy type chair is supposed to fit giving one true recliner The rest of the space will be some sort of end table furniture. If I can't find something I like I will build to fit. I was thinking someplace to throw our shoes and set a cold drink.
Have you sat in the Eagle Cap 1165? The chairs don't recline much. At least in the one we looked at they hit the wall before reclining back. You can force them to recline farther but eventually all the friction rubbing on the wall will damage both the chairs and the wall. Could be unbolting them and relocating them farther out could help.
