After 11 pages, I've almost forgotten what the OP posted! Forgive my philosophizing, but I think that part of the problem is that here in the US, many have mistaken Liberty for License. We cherish our liberty, but we need to remember that our founding fathers understood that with liberty, much responsibility is required. Do we have a right to shine our lights, play our stereos, let our kids run wild through the CG while our dogs bark at anything and everything? Sure, I guess. Is it right? Is it responsible? Is it considerate of those around us? I don't think so.
One of the reasons my DW and I bought our first trailer was to insulate us from our "neighbors" whose headlights or (bleeping) Coleman lanterns were boring a hole through our tent after we went to bed. I guess this means I can sympathize more with Nvr2loud more than those in the Light Brigade. Yes I've been known to go to a neighbor after "quiet time" had started at the CG. Both times the response was, "Oh geeze, is it 10:00 already? SORRY!!!" One group was a bunch of teens. It warmed my heart that they were so respectful. I was expecting snide comments. Loved being proved wrong that time! My favorite was on our last outing. A large family was having a great time playing some game. After I reminded them it was after 10:00, one teen-age kid asked, "Were we being loud?" We could here them on the other end of the CG! I guess one man's noise is another man's whisper.
