I find it funny that there are many posters giving their true distastes for lights that really don't seem to put out much light in the first place. But then again many of these posters are sitting behind a keyboard when they are typing how much they think it's stupid and pointless as opposed to being in front of real people.
In the actual real world at actual campgrounds I have had nothing but compliments. Of course, when quiet time hits, my lights go off.
Whether it's a "look at me" thing or just an ambiance thing, I think it's almost comical for one look down on another by attempting to categorize a practice as a childish emotion.
Man to man(or woman), I would have no problem considering someone else's point of view. However, the internet tough guy act talking about confronting someone over some running lights is a joke. If anyone came up to me telling me that it is just something that they don't like to see, I honestly would have no problem shutting them down. Giving people the benefit of the doubt on such an inconsequential subject sound like the best policy for all involved. It isn't that important to me one way or another. If someone decided to give me attitude, that would obviously be handled appropriately as well.....as my childish emotion of ridicule would probably get the best at me.
All in all, I am trying to remind my fellow posters that this is a site about CAMPING, RVing, and VACATIONING. If there are such foul opinions about such inane subjects, You're got the whole CAMPING, RVing and VACATIONING thing all wrong.
