To change it up a bit just get an automotive turn light flasher and plug it into 11:00 & 1:00 positions....now the trailer lights will come on and FLASH
This is how they do it at RV shows for all the display trailers.
Me, I use a fuse to bridge the two pins on the umbilical cord.
