Marker lights

Have a 2005 AF 1150,camper.. and have to replace the rightside front marker light. There are 2 wires coming out of the camper one green, one white....would I be correct that the white is the power for the light and the green is the ground......really bad with electric.

I would say that WHITE will always be GROUND in the RV WORLD.

Everywhere you look with ETRAILER and forum comments you find that WHITE is always ground.

On the trailer connector cable that plugs into the truck wiring you will find that WHITE is GROUND (-12VDC) and GREEN is the (+12VDC) going to the trailer lights... The COLORED wires may vary by manufacture but always the WHITE is GROUND.

You can test this with a DC VOLTMETER to be sure.

  • Sounds like a good guess to me but I would check it with a test light using a known ground.
Just out of curiosity, what are you replacing it with? I was thinking of doing a full marker light replacement on my 1150 to sealed LED pieces.
