Mass to FLA via route 78-81-77

Thats how I usually go to mass in the summer. I would NOT do 81 in the winter.

Forget I-81 as it's through the snow zone. Stay off I-77 too. Go along the coast, I-95 as soon as you get past DC. Then keep watching the weather for storms and go when clear. Hope you're planning to go far south as it's 45F here in Daytona area. It may warm up to 65F this weekend. Stay in left lane going through Jacksonville, FL for through traffic as it's full of on ramps to right. Use 511 on your cell phone for traffic updates. Figure three days staying somewhere in NC as soon as you get out of VA. Then there are some nice rest stops in SC just before GA. That will bring you to central Florida on third day, Miami would be the fourth day if you're going that far.
