Max load trip

Got back last night. I have to say the worst 15 miles of pavement on any freeway has got to be 580 westbound from 205 over the Altamont pass to the Livermore weigh stations. Heavy truck traffic had just destroyed the roadbed, Potholes, cracks, tilted slaps abound in every lane and for added fun there is the wind lots of it which is why there are wind mill farms on both sides of the fwy extending for miles. The truck dealt with it and the horses seems no worse for wear. The horse trailer is going to sit for at least 3 months, the Lance is about to enter my camping/Fly fishing season

probably 19-20,000 for both vehicles . truck tires are 3750 eachl

I am curious, do you have any idea (estimate) as to what your payload was?

What are your tires rated at?

Do you have any idea how much total weight was involved with this Max Load? It would be nice to know where the edges are. I don't have a pic, as I was totally involved in getting my rig from A to B without incident, but, our Max load was 8 yrs. ago when we had the truck, Lance, car trailer with a 4400 pound jeep on there and a whole garage full of heavy metal stuff (like tools, transmissions and floor jax). My estimate of the Combined Vehicle Weight was 18K pounds on a truck whose CVWR was 19.300 pounds. I did not weigh this load, just tried to get it to B without blowing a tire or something going haywire. There certainly is a heightened sense of awareness. My gut tells me you were at or over that higher figure. It does move one to pay attention to every noise and possible visual menace.

That is the strangest load I've seen behind a TC.. and yes, it DOES look like a vehicle to be used for Burning Man!
