Max load trip

We headed off to the 2013 USDF Region 7 / California Dressage Society Championships today. 3 people, two dogs, two horses it was a two hour drive over the Altamont pass on 580 and across theSan Joaquin Valley to Rancho Murietta. Strong cross winds but we punched right through them.

I feel your pain... or excitement as the case may be ;)
I just hauled this max-load 800 miles up & over the northern Sierra Nevada's and back (I-80/Donner Pass), and I averaged 11.6 MPG round trip.

On edit: The thing on the trailer is a "mutant vehicle" (art-car) for Burning Man.
